I am a passionate, experienced and dedicated educator with a strong background in teaching and one-to-one tutoring. I have experience working with children and young people across different age groups and abilities, including learners with SEN, SEMH needs, autism and complex learning needs. My approach is centred around understanding each learner as an individual and creating a safe, supportive and encouraging environment where they can feel confident in their abilities.
I also offer personalised one-to-one tuition in GCSE English, Maths and Science, as well as support with core literacy, numeracy, reading, comprehension, problem-solving and exam preparation. I adapt my teaching to suit each student’s learning style, ability and individual needs, breaking challenging topics into manageable steps and using clear explanations, practical examples, visual resources and engaging activities.
I have experience supporting learners who may have gaps in their education, low confidence, anxiety around learning or difficulty engaging with traditional classroom teaching. I understand that every student progresses differently, so I work patiently at their pace while encouraging them to become more independent and confident learners.
My tutoring services can include subject-specific tuition, GCSE preparation, revision and past-paper practice, homework support, confidence building, literacy and numeracy development, and personalised learning programmes. I can provide tuition online or in person, depending on the learner’s needs and circumstances.
My aim is not simply to help students improve their grades, but to help them develop a genuine understanding of what they are learning, recognise their own strengths and become more confident in their ability to succeed. I believe that with the right support, encouragement and teaching approach, every learner can make meaningful progress.
